Follow the unlikely friendship between a hopeless-romantic postman, Mario, and the renowned Nobel-Prize-winning poet, Pablo Neruda, during the transformative era of 1970s Chile. With Neruda’s mentorship, the tongue-tied Mario strives to win over the heart of the daughter of a local innkeeper, Beatriz Gonzalez, much to the discontent of her mother, Rosa Gonzalez. With the 1973 Chilean coup d’état to set the scene.
